Oil Pressure Reducing Valve

Oil Pressure reducer

It sometimes happens that the oil storage tank is situated somewhat higher than the Aga and exceeds the recommended head height of 3.2m.

Traditionally one way of reducing the pressure was to fit an extra oil control valve (minus its metering stem) part way along the oil line, but this could be awkward to accommodate and entails additional maintenance.

An easier solution is to fit a purpose designed, pressure reduction valve, such as the device shown here, which can be conveniently located immediately before the OCV.

 Pressure Reducing Valve

This is the GOK 13002 pressure reducing valve , available from Anglo Nordic supplies, their part ref. No. 3006030. It can accept up to 6 bar inlet pressure whilst maintaining an outlet pressure of 100mbar and requires no adjustment.
